My Current Projects

"I am remaining very active with social media as this field is an excellent way to generate buzz and to connect with people."

2008 was the year when the markets went through a major correction, forcing people to take stock of their lives, including their businesses. 2009 was also a tough year, but I continue to work with clients who are holding their own, even anticipating growth during the coming months. Not everyone is in full scale retreat as they realize that good times will eventually return and that they must position themselves accordingly before things improve.

At present, I am managing six blogs and am an automotive columnist for two regional print publications. I am also providing a variety of writing services to other clients including web copy, articles, press releases and the like. I sold off several sites in the past year, prefering to concentrate on writing copy and offering marketing services.

I continue to remain very active with social media as this field is an excellent way to generate buzz and to connect with people. You're not as likely to find me participating on Digg or Reddit as you would run across me on StumbleUpon, Twitter or even Facebook, but I often shake things up in a bid to discover new vistas or try a fresh approach. LinkedIn is now my go to site to connect with other professionals, a wonderful place where I can interview some of the best minds in small business.

Bringing In The Traffic

Each one of us is allotted a certain amount of time in this life to get things done. When writing for my clients every article must bring measurable results whether that be increased traffic to a website, a jump in customer inquiries about a product, or the conversion of those inquiries into actual sales.

Every website I own must produce or it is simply a waste of bandwidth, never mind my personal time. During the fourth quarter of 2007, I launched six new blogs or websites in a bid to expand my personal business. This followed the selling of five websites in the second quarter of 2007 as I decided to cash in the bulk of my assets to concentrate on writing for clients throughout the third quarter of the year.

My policy with clients is a clear one: if my work doesn't bring in more business for you, then it is time to reconsider your marketing campaign. I like to think that I am the best writer when I sign on with a client, but I won't let my ego get in the way of how  you manage your business. On the other hand, if you're looking for someone who has a track record of bringing in the traffic, then I think that I should be worthy of your consideration.

Just as I am selective when it comes to who I will work with, I would hope that you are the same way. Time is a precious commodity that no one should waste -- please contact me at your earliest convenience so that we may discuss whether we're a good fit for each other.
